I've decided to spend October catching up on silent horror movies. THE BELLS (1926) featuring Boris Karloff in a small but menacing role. Adapted from a play, it's a classic plot about a murderer literally haunted by his deed. Even under a big hat and thick glasses you can spot Karloff.

The use of fake light flares in movies has driven me to the point of distraction. In Supergirl the sun is ALWAYS shining directly at the camera from every window and door. In this scene the sun moves from one shot to the next. As soon as she steps outside the sun disappears.

Another reminder that I'm old- I was intrigued by this painting in THE DRAMA. It reminded me of the sad dog coin banks from the 70's. Online people are comparing it to Meatwad from AQHF. But it's OBVIOUSLY a riff on that dog bank everyone had when I was a kid.
