💔 #SickleCell disease is the most clear example of how the healthcare system fails patients of color. It’s unethical and disgusting for this to happen, and they’ll look you in the eye and tell you it’s not happening. But the data tells a different story…

When a patient living with #SickleCell disease hits the ER with pain, they should get pain meds IMMEDIATELY. A hefty first dose of pain meds can result in better outcomes. They do not need your narrative, suspicion or discrimination. They need your help. Be a champion for them.
