(This may not actually reflect poorly on Eric Idle's technical acumen; this website rejects like 80% of the videos one attempts to upload to it with entirely cryptic errors)

In other news it turns out Eric Idle has a Bluesky account and seems to be really enjoying himself. He cannot figure out how to upload videos but otherwise is having a grand old time

I would like to strongly urge anyone reading this to block the account linked by Amy. If possible, do so without reading his posts. If you don't already know why I'm recommending you block this person, finding out will not make you happy. Just block him before someone dunk-quotes him into your feed.

'the story goes: the two guys in the picture worked at an arcade or something back in 1986, this star trek broke down and they got given it, determined to fix it. after 6 months of not working, they decided to drive out to the forest and burn it..' www.andysarcade.net/personal/gro...

decrepit looking star trek cabinet, looking somewhat hollowed out, in a cluttered room.

two scrawny lookin' dudes (shorts, bare chested) with the star trek cabinet, side ways on the ground, looking inside it.

the star trek cabinet is well and truly on fire among greenery and forestry (angled view).

I'm not really sure what's happening in this last image but it's fun. I would describe this image as "not safe for work" if for no other reason than failure to follow proper grounding and other electrical safety rules. Is she even a licensed electrician bsky.app/profile/did:...

You stare into the abyss, and the abyss stares back. You poke the abyss with a stick, and the abyss pokes you with a stick back. You gently caress the face of the abyss, lightly trailing your fingers full down its body to where it is most sensitive, most tender, and it

Whenever I write about old software, it still strikes me how absurd it is that it’s easier to run software from the 90s and 2000s on a modern computer than it is to run an iOS app from 15 years ago.

We maintain that there's no way to implement age verification without compromising sensitive data. Those who choose to opt out of this get a censored experience. A reminder: the leaders pushing for age verification broadly aren't doing so for child safety. Their aim is information control.

Despite major outrage from users when they initially rolled out age verification systems, Discord plans to make all accounts teen by default GLOBALLY & you have to scan your face or upload an ID to prove you aren't one. www.gadgetreview.com/discord-is-b...
