Jin looks radiant at the concert in Peru. On fancams, he looks very happy while performing. He does not seem to have anything more important to do; he is fully invested and does not hold back. I imagine that after the concert, he goes back to his introverted self, already pulling back. #Jin #BTS

I believe that NAMJIN is the trope of loving authentically even at a young age against all odds and resonates with NAMJIN's predominantly female fandom. My research on yaoi shows societal expectations of what love should look like can be taxing for women, regardless of their sexual orientation.

(3/3) On the other hand, I can sense a strong sense of detachment from him—from the trappings of fame. An extended self and a strong sense of detachment—something to be explored here, for all its implications for the healing of mind and body. #BTS #JIN

(2/3) While he is undoubtedly funny, there's a deliberate force or impetus that makes it seem so unforced and natural. Jin’s over-the-top antics are never self-conscious. They reveal a heightened understanding of an extended self. Jin believes that making ARMY happy makes him happy, too. #JIN #BTS

(1/3) While the eloquent RM, as the leader, can speak so profoundly and expansively about his struggles or demons as he calls them, Jin’s relative silence about his innermost feelings sometimes makes him invisible as an example of someone who takes mental health seriously. #BTS #JIN #RM

Amid global conflicts and ecological crises, there is something to reflect on in the gift of watching a young life unfold into maturity and flourishing. Gifts of the human intellect—music, lyrics, and poetry — are therapeutic, rooted in the soothing depths of love and self-compassion. #BTS #RM

I have been drawn to the enigmatic leader of BTS. Kim Namjoon (RM) is a kindred spirit. A philosopher and poet, he's full of complexities and contradictions. His youth and well-built frame add a Renaissance Man vibe that is both alluring and comforting. He seems capable of deep feelings. #BTS#RM

Still a lot to unravel in the ongoing calamity after Wednesday's glacier collapse and flood catastrophe in the Himalayas. It's clear enough that our human-warmed climate is destabilizing glaciers and permafrost. @climateconnections.bsky.social yaleclimateconnections.org/2026/08/the-...

I admire Jin for his sense of detachment and supreme clarity of purpose—fully and authentically engaging with concertgoers. Then he returns to his other personas: product endorser, CEO, and businessman. The complexities and duality make him admirable as an idol and a human being. #Jin #BTS

I read, with morbid fascination, about the two sides of the late Dr. Jason Arday's affair. I recoiled in horror at the fact that there are academics who support race realism. Race realism is racism in disguise. I wrote about this in 2019: www.rappler.com/voices/imho/...
