One of my projects today was replacing the sisal on the cat tree and Skyler was openly appalled when I starting tearing the old stuff off. She went to touch the naked cardboard cylinders and looked at me like I was a monster. She watched the whole time as I got glued new sisal on.

And done! Much tougher fight than I recall- he kept dodging me! I died like four time except for fairies saving me. I forgot to cook gloom food. Oooooops I still have so much I can do but I think I’m swapping it up a bit.

October is busy so I am trying to get Linktober stuff done ahead of time. Ideally I want the first half of the month done before I post. Right now I have 5 finished pieces and another three sketches ready for color. I did plot out all my ideas already so I’m already ahead of the last two years I did

We had furnace maintenance scheduled today and I’m not sure the guy who showed up has graduated highschool. He is very polite and nice. Also impressed by the Weird Al memorabilia inthe living room.

Decided to start the end game in TOTK since I’ve been piddling around for months, so I finally recruited Riju, did the castle bit, and got the final two memories. Then my controller ran out of juice so I gotta go beat down Ganondorf tomorrow I guess lol.

On to phase 2 of Fighting my Giant Photo Library into submission. It looks like everything made it into the photos app and iCloud. Now to go to get Photobucket (or whatever it’s being called now, that frankly makes me nervous) to upload it.

I got a 3D printed bombchu at DragonCon. I think today is the day to Gorilla tape it to the side of a cabinet as a joke my spouse will absolutely not understand.

Finally down loading my camera from the last 2 shows we did. I am really pushing my photo library to its limits these days.

I hadn’t planned on doing photos at #dragoncon but a photog reached out to me and I caved. It was a stupidly hot day out there in “Temu Hyrule” aka Centennial Park but D2G photos made it super fun!

Starting to brace for a nor’easter. Brought plants in. The Ren Faire I planned for Sunday decided to close this weekend. I should go see what’s in my freezer for the slow cooker. Maybe make some bread.

I have been trying to get into the habit of a short daily yoga practice and obviously, the cat enjoys participating. I rolled my mat out half an hour ago but Skyler waited until I said the word “yoga” to go to the top of the mat. So I guess she is getting trained too.

I don’t play table top (mostly no opportunity) but I love dice so much. I just ordered a carrying case to display them. Maybe today is play with my dice day

I am at one of my favorite Vegas restaurants and I am really bummed they “renovated” an art feature into blandness. This used to have sculpted highlights for each state- Kentucky included a couple Breyer horses. Now it’s white with a projected flag over it. How novel

So I think I’m going to do #Linktober again this year-already got my sketchbook and set it up but idk that I’m going to share my work. I liked sharing fanart when there was a community around it and I don’t know where that went. Why share things that are only getting hoovered up for AI scraping?

DrSteggy @drsteggy.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

And swag! Not as many ribbons this year but I didn’t circulate as much due to heat. Lots of people gave me hearts and rupees though and I scored 2 Ocarina of Time temple medallions. Best thing was a laminated map of the con footprint that clips on your badge! That’s going in the box for next year

Treasures from the #dragoncon dealer hall. Including fun pins and dice (there’s a set with the carpet pattern) soap, a small craft project and fun 3D prints. I’m gonna Gorilla tape the bombchu on a verticals surface in the kitchen because that amuses me. Skyler was fascinated with the shrine key

Also, I have a 3DS. It was a gift purchased at a pawn shop so I only really used it as a Zelda machine. But people were talking about street passes, so I threw it into a bag on my cosplay and I got three street passes tonight!
