Long COVID impairs cognition. It is currently experienced by around 10% of the population. This includes people in occupations where failures of judgement, decision making, reaction times etc can be lethal. This is clearly going to lead to knock on injuries and deaths.

For an immediate and significant reduction in harmful pollution, ban cruise ships. Each one is the same as between 1 million and 3 million cars. Some of the larger ones will be closer to 5 million cars. And no, most "cruise goers" will not suddenly jump ship to air travel.

Preparing for the first week of teaching Qualitative Methods in Psychology.
Perforator Snape appears in front of his class. He says "There will be no foolish experimental conditions or hypothesis testing in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is qualitative research methods in psychology. However, for those select few, I can teach you how to unpack language and ensnare socially situated context. I can teach you to deconstruct discourse, elucidate experience, and even analyse silence.
