Avalokitesvara - The Dancing Bodhisattva: A Buddhist manuscript from South-east Bengal illustrates various forms of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara as a dancer. Wearing typical anklets, the dance of Avalokitesvara (or Bodhisattvas) is usually associated with joy and new beginnings. #Buddhism #Art

Angels: Winged angels painted inside a Buddhist niche from Hadda represent an interesting fusion of Western and Buddhist artistic traditions. These figures were discovered in the archaeological site of Hadda in Afghanistan, which was an important center of Greco-Buddhist art. #Buddhism #Archaeology

Kesaria Stupa of Bihar, India, among the largest of Buddhist stupas is in danger of encroachment by local Hindu faiths. Extremely disappointed that international scholars and Buddhist communities don't raise voice when their heritage is invaded in such manner.

Saddhamma: "The way or Path of Truth taught by the Buddha is called 'Good Dharma' or True Dharma' (Sad-dhamma)." This Dhamma is beneficial in the beginning, beneficial in the middle, and beneficial in the end, hence it is called Saddhamma, or Saddharma. "According to Nagarjuna, 1/ #Buddhism

Tribute to the Boddhisattva Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his Parinibbana day. He was Prophetic even till today and all his warnings are coming true. We must introspect on his Teachings and our strategies as we have clearly failed him as a Nation and a Society.

The petition to survey the #Sambhal Mosque by Allahabad High Court was quicker than Arnab's Bail, right!? This speed of Judiciary is always missing usually. Says a lot about the State sponsored Riot. Mockery of the System today.

No Historian(Left/Right/Centre) questions the Historicity of Vedic Era. However, people like Dr. Bronkhorst, Patrick Olivelle has questioned the Historicity of Brahminism. In fact, the Indian Subcontinent had a Sramanic Culture early on. Brahminism came very late.

The Indian Historians are carefully curating a Historical Propaganda to install Vedic Era in the Past which has no historical evidence to support it except Rigveda itself. But Linguistics debunks the Historicity of Sanskrit itself which is RigVeda composed of.

In Bhadrakali Temple, Ithkhori, Jharkhand, many Buddhist artifacts exist, all controlled by the Temple Trust! Yet only a token Buddha statue is hidden behind the complex as if to censor. Indian Govt. doesn't care one bit about such heritage, will international Buddhists be same?

Xuanzang in his notes mentions how king Siladitya leads a religious procession while dressing as Sakra (Indra) while his son the prince dressed as Bramha, each present on left and right side of Buddha idol carried on elephant respectively. It resembles Gandharan art.

When Reading Xuanzang's journal, I came across a passage where he described how time was measured, in it a day was divided into 8 kalas and the smallest unit of time was a sana, which when calculated came as <100ms, now I was surprised How they found it! #Buddhism #Neuroscience #QuantumMechanics

Wishing everyone peaceful and prosperous Buddhist Light festival. It is celebrated at the end of every Varshavasa, because of it's significance in Buddhism as the day Tipitika was composed after Buddha's Nirvana.
