King's Vihara: Shewaki is home to Shahbahar, or the "King's Vihara," a Buddhist stupa dating back to the Kushan era. This stupa is part of a larger religious complex situated along a historic pilgrimage route that Buddhist travelers followed from the Indian lowlands to Bamiyan in the highlands.

A monk led my travel-buddy and me out a mountain path to a spot a kilometer east of the courtyard of Gaoming Temple on Tiantai Shan in Zhejiang and showed us this stunning Guanyin carved directly into the granite (I presume).
