The Dirt Beneath the Devil #3 by Dan Panosian, David Ferracci, Lee Loughridge and myself also came out yesterday! I'm really enjoying working on this supernatural Western--only one more issue left!

On top of all my other lettering work I've had to letter two full issues in a day on two different comics...the long weekend can't come fast enough for me.

Here I thought I was going to have a nice simple week workwise thinking everyone was going to be at NYCC but that's not happening...

Oooooo, shiny! And I just received a whole box of the different variants.

Oh, I know the studio wasn't always puppy dogs and rainbows to its employees but I was on staff at DC Comics when it was still part of Warner Bros so I feel bad that they've been sucked up by another conglomerate.

Pat Brosseau @droog811.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Well, another big conglomerate.

I’ve always loved this version of the Warner Brothers logo which was designed by Saul Bass. Sad to see the studio sucked up by a big conglomerate.

Hey, I got my wish from yesterday and was able to use my own font on an upcoming story. ;)

Leaf color looking good in the Northeast Kingdom but not quite at peak just yet.

Hopefully I'll get to use my font based on my actual hand lettering on a few upcoming projects soon. Here it is in action in a Wonder Woman Black and Gold story from a few years ago! Art by Leo Romero and story by Sina Grace.

Now on the turntable—Panda Bear’s Person Pitch! I didn’t realize that the records for this were 12 inch 45s so when I first started playing it I was a bit confused.

The leaves are really starting to change in northern Vermont but not quite at peak just yet.

Just finished watching Mike Hodges' Pulp from 1972 with Michael Caine as pulp writer Mickey King. It could have been great and parts of it reminded me of Robert Altman's version of The Long Goodbye, but, that said, I'll give it 3 out of 5 stars. Great poster though.

I went to John Rozum’s talk on how comics work at a local library tonight and really enjoyed it. A well thought out talk on how comics can be read and the different ways creators approach storytelling. Happy he showed a couple of Hellboy pages I lettered too!

Ah, my official Batman Bat Grenade finally showed up in the mail. Now if only I had some caps...remember caps? Nothing like giving a kid a roll of caps and some matches for minutes of fun.

A nice looking double page spread from Wolverine #88 by Adam Kubert, Mark Farmer with my hand lettering. I loved lettering Wolverine but the book was most times late and almost every month I would have to letter on vellum and the lettering pasted up in house.

Happy Batman Day! I've lettered a lot of Batman stories but the short run by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely on Batman & Robin is one that I enjoyed working on a lot! #BatmanDay

After watching the Frank Miller doc I was reminded of the Sin City screening for comic creators in 2005 with an after party at the Union Square ballroom that I went to. It was incredible seeing every famous comic creator you could think of in one room at the after party...my head almost exploded!
