the thing that made me stop playing wasnt even the game making me unable to feel my hand. it was the last straw of seeing egregious racism. choosing taash's culture they follow is awful. then i ran into a qunari which Of Course has been transformed into a huge, hunched, ape-like monster 🙄

the game is gorgeous. it feels lile it wants to be god of war instead of an rpg. its not an rpg anymore. i cant even decide my own characters personality, not really. the character creator is one of the best ive ever seen. the characters are interesting but lacking real depth and agency.

i expected the gods part at least. i didnt expect the world to be unrecognizable and unwilling to deal with or even look at a single difficult subject or be give any character genuine flaws. it even took away the flaws of cameo characters like dorian. that flattens everything. makes it plastic

it is beautiful. the pacing is bad. the therapy speak is boring. telling me we cant kill gods until we solve our personal problems instead of weaving it unavoidably into the story is laughably bad. choosing someones culture for them, esp in their story about rejecting binaries, is disgusting

i wanted to like veilguard so bad man. its not even that its a bad game. but its a god awful dragon age game. it is Insanely racist somehow way worse than the past games even. everything feels hollow and sanitized. the gameplay made myself and everone i know with hand problems get fucked up
