To check how dead account labeling actually is, I went and checked all labels applied to @gummigirl.com (who got stuck with "suggestive".) The label is still there, just hidden now. Even scarier, that label was placed on Valentine's Day, 2024. The devs have planned this feature for a while.

PSA: Bluesky's new auto-tagging moderation stuff is a disaster. Disable it. Go into Settings on the Bluesky site and enable adult content and set everything to Warn at most, which makes posts opt-in. Hide just vanishes posts. Then go into Advanced/Bluesky Mod Service and do the same on everything.
