DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 29/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge Day 17 - Wildcard Mr Bungle - California This album is as f***ed up as it is brilliant. Never heard anything like it before or after. An intense listen but some pockets of absolute magic. My favourites: ‘Sweet Charity’ ‘Goodbye Sober Day’ ‘Retrovertigo’ 060
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 27/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge Day 16 - P Led Zeppelin- Physical Graffiti Awesome album from one of the most important bands in rock history. Chunky riffs over Bonham grooves, can’t go wrong. My favourite is ‘The Wanton Song’. ‘Kashmir’ is an absolute classic. 0100
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 26/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge Day 15 - O Radiohead - OK Computer My favourite album. Everything about this is on point. The arrangements, the orchestration, the vocals, the guitars, the drums, the emotion. ‘Let Down’ is my favourite song in the known universe. 0120
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 25/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge Day 14 -N Nirvana- Nevermind Another genre defining record. In my early 20s I worked a job with a lot of younger teens who needed to learn the ways of rock. This was the gateway drug to indoctrination, the first one I’d make them listen to. Iconic. 0130
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 24/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge Day 13 - M Metallica - Master of Puppets The perfection of a genre right here. The first time I heard this album I listed to the first track 'Battery' 5 times in a row before I could even get to the second track. Standouts - Tracks 1 through 8 0290
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 23/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge Day 12 - L QOTSA - Lullabies to Paralyze An album of 2 halves. Despite being released in 2005, this one really has a Side A and Side B feel. I absolutely love 'Tangled up in Plaid' an 'Everybody Knows That You Are Insane' though 'Little Sister' is the hit. 1200
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 22/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge Day 11 - K Miles Davis - Kind of Blue If you have a record collection that doesn’t include this record, do you even have a record collection? For me, this is whiskey music. 2210
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 21/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge Day 10 - Wildcard Oasis - Definitely Maybe It's not the one that gets the most glory, but this for me is the best we've seen from Oasis. One of those albums I can start right back up again as soon as it's finished. Standouts - 'Slide Away' & 'Live Forever' 1250
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 20/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge I - Day 9 Nirvana - In Utero This is the Nirvana album if you want to get up close and personal with Kurt Cobain's raw pain and brilliance. This is the Nirvana album you say you like if you want to appear a purist and not a corporate rock sellout lol. 0170
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 19/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge H - Day 8 Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory This album has one song for each small teenage problem that at the time felt like the end of the world. Every track reminds me of someone or something I encountered at 15yrs old. The perfect album for its time. 0140
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 18/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge G - Day 7 Jeff Buckley - Grace Hard to pinpoint what to say about this one. This man is just captivating and another legend who was taken too soon. If you haven't listened to this album, turn out the lights, light a candle, pour a glass of wine and enjoy. 0150
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 17/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge F - Day 6 Greta Van Fleet - From the Fires The first time I heard Greta Van Fleet I was in a panic wondering how there was a Led Zeppelin song I hadn't heard, turned out it was a new band from Michigan. 'Safari Song' and 'Highway Tune' are bona fide bangers. 0190
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 16/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge E - Day 5 The White Stripes - Elephant I listened to this one while walking Champs-Élysées on a trip to Paris and now it takes me back with every listen. Seven Nation Army was written in my home city so bonus points. My Fave - 'You've Got Her in Your Pocket' 2200
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 15/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge D - Day 4 Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon No brainer this one. Nobody has made a better album than this plain and simple. If I could go back and hear one album again for the first time, this would be it. No standout tracks, listen start to finish. Always. 0130
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 14/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge C - Day 3 Another one disproportionally personal. I got this one after one of those teenage breakups you think you’ll never recover from with money from my first joint. Owned 5 CDs at the time so it got a spin most days at least once. Everlong and My Hero 🥹 1160
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 13/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge B - Day 2 This is just one of those albums for me. I had a period of 2 months one summer where it was just about all I could listen to. When it finished, I'd start it again, if listening to anything else, I'd inevitably change back. Standouts: 'Fans' & 'Arizona' 0140
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 11/12/2024#AtoZStudioAlbums #musicchallenge A - Day 1 The Beatles are quite simply what made me fall in love with music as a young boy. For me Abbey Road is their most rounded album. Harrisons songwriting shines, some really distinct Lennon songs, Side B oozes McCartney and even some Ringo vocals. 10/10. 2120

DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 27/11/202454yr anniversary of this masterpiece. George is special to me. The Beatles opened me up to music. 'Something' was the first dance at my wedding. 'My Sweet Lord' was the funeral song of a childhood friend we lost to suicide. The music is forever. #OTD #GeorgeHarrison 000
DRod @drod86.bsky.social · 24/11/2024After seemingly falling out of the first XI based on team balance, I think Enzo was excellent. Looked more dynamic than in recent months and put in plenty of defensive work. #LeiChe #ChelseaFC #CFC 110
