OMFG. If there's any agency that is NOT top-heavy, it's NSF. Over 95% of the money flowing through NSF goes to awards.

After many weeks of Trump carnage with NIH and NSF, I would expect the universities might be prepared and able to help us navigate. If nothing else, they could treat those devastated by these cuts with kindness and compassion.... Alas, this is too much to ask....

🧪 Tip: You have the right to contest a grant termination, even though NSF says you don't. 🧵 On Friday, NSF terminated 402 grants (per Musk's DOGE). The notification letters had one of the most egregious violations of fed regulations I've seen so far in these cases: "not subject to appeal"
