The fact money is a question of life or death makes the game a little different. Disenfranchised people are going to complain of the divide. Twitch and OnlyFans are but a small poll of the general dynamics of money, and jobs function on a similar scale (happiness/fulfillment/etc).

• An informal community poll by Streamscheme found 72.8% of smaller streamers had yet to earn money from Twitch, and another summary says over 70% of all Twitch streamers earn no money.
• A stats roundup says 74% of Affiliates earn under $100 a month, with a median of $28.50. That covers Affiliates only, not everyone who streams, and the roundup's sourcing is unverified.
• Best guess for "under $20/month": probably 70-80%+ of all streamers, since most never reach Affiliate status.

OnlyFans

• One report says the median creator earns under $200 per month.
• A survey cited on a low-quality site claims 75% earn under $100 per month and 40% earn nothing. I wouldn't trust it, since the site looks scraped and I can't trace the survey.
• Best guess for "under $20/month": unknown. Something like 40-50% is plausible if many accounts earn nothing, but that's an extrapolation, not a measured figure.

I mean I could say the same of the people that had near-perfect grades in high school but you didn’t see them take responsibility for our (the lowly ones) grades. Or the high scorers in games. Money has the advantage of actually being worth goods and services in real life. Still, the same principle.

If I had kids I would let them discover the game while gently being there to watch and explain if there’s anything! Or if busy/they need more freedom I can be there on call. If they’re mature enough they can discover the game on their own.

Well to be clear I think honouring First Nations is important. Probably Nation-level first aid is important before any big decision. It almost always involves money. Investing into resources that will help curtail the worst of the current ailments they feel, and God knows they feel a lot of them.
