Babies & the Extrusion reflex. Seen from 0 to 4ish months or more, a baby pushes material out of the mouth on the tongue. It gets messy but diminishes in time to trial feeding cereals or soft jar foods off a spoon. If VERY pronounced, hold off in feeding by spoon for 1-2 weeks. #pediatrics
