Our latest work demonstrates that CD31+ T-Cells possess more of the angiogenic factor VEGF-A than CD31- T-Cells, suggestive of preferential angiogenic phenotype. physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.14814...

<fc>CD31</fc>+ T‐cells express greater <fc>VEGF</fc>‐A than <fc>CD31</fc>− counterparts with expression exacerbated with advancing age in male adults
CD31+ T-cells possess angiogenic properties and have been termed angiogenic T-cells (TANG) and are altered in number with advancing age. We examined circulating TANG subsets and VEGF-A content in you...

Pre-print on CD31+ T-cells and advancing age. We found that CD31+ T-cells may offer angiogenic properties due to expressing greater VEGF-A levels than CD31- T-cells, yet this is exacerbated with age - which may reflect a pathological inflammatory phenotype biorxiv.org/content/10.648…

Why is it that it is 2026, and when submitting a manuscript, you still have to include code for special characters on a submission portal?!

Research has an economic return multiplier >1. So taxes don't even really pay for research. Research more than pays for itself, the taxes are just used to kick-start the positive economic cycle. The more money invested in research, the better the economy.

There is significant variation in the progenitor cell response to exercise. A contributing factor to this variation is cardiorespiratory fitness. The fitter you are, the higher the absolute intensity you exercise at, resulting in more progenitor cell mobilisation
