You know you're among your people when you call QLD premier a clown and you get a round of applause. I think it went well today, so many good questions and people wanting to talk to me. It is a mistake to think that nurses don't want to learn about history #acmhn2026

lol I can’t even eat breakfast this morning I’m so nervous. I’ve talked to nurses about history before of course but not 750 of them at once and this is my first conference back in Australia!

This clown is a national embarrassment. This is what you get when ignorant, misinformed, racist, homophobic, intellectually inept idiots brainwashed by fox and pedophile enablers vote to try to own the libs 🙄 The whole world sees this while Putin laughs.

Back from 2 days in the bush listening to white people complaining they’re invisible while demanding more from govt, while also whining that Aboriginal people trying to live on their own Country “get hand outs” when they are actually being ignored and erased from local history 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm thrilled to have been invited to be a keynote speaker at this years @acmhn.bsky.social conference, celebrating 50 years in Australia. It's one of my favourite things to talk about history with nurses.

Here’s the thing: I will not now nor will I ever apologise for the way I moved my life from one country to another and back again especially not to people who’ve never done it. When you’ve been through it and understand what it takes, how hard it is, we can compare notes but until then, nope.

I just spoke to the person I wrote the Truth Telling report for at Swinburne and he thought it was "brilliant". I'm just going to tidy some things up and do an executive summary and then he will submit to University executive where he expects it to make some waves so that's good.
