For some reason, probably because I’m writing about the Lost Cause, Facebook is feeding me a slew of group pages dedicated to Confederate “heritage.” And let me tell you, AI has been a boon to these folks. Of course, this will be useful in writing the book’s epilogue.

My PhD advisor, Peggy Sanday, published Fraternity Gang Rape (1990). She found gang rape functions as male bonding through domination: men use women to prove masculinity, gain status, & demonstrate loyalty. Group norms normalize coercion, erase consent, & institutional privilege shields perpetrators

What happened at Cornell made me think about all the ish I’ve seen. My department had its own scandal a few years back and I’m still mad about it. Don’t even get me started about conference behavior.

In what world is it the purview of the President/Executive branch “to force conservative cultural changes on academia‘? And why end the paragraph without noting that there is no legal justification whatsoever for Trump and his minions to “force cultural change” on institutions of higher education.
