This week in #NatureQuest in www.the2poundtuitionhub.com, we continued our journey in our Underground Worlds block - exploring rocks and soils and real-world impacts - by becoming chocolate geologists and making models of sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks as we delved into the rock cycle.

We estimated using the Beaufort scale, practised monitoring wind direction and took some measurements of distance travelled over time to record the speed… which was pretty much zero today on the eve of the autumn equinox 😜 and made a wind sock! #ScienceIsEverywhere #BeCurious #DrJoScience

My samples showed high nitrate levels, which isn’t all that surprising given the agricultural run off from surrounding land. It forms an important part of the picture and trend analysis across the country. #ScienceIsEverywhere #BeCurious #DrJoScience

Top tips: 💭 Maybe print it out on bigger paper so you've got more space to work with 💭 Pre-fold all the folds first one way, and then the other, with really sharp creases 💭 Fold the dashed lines upwards like a mountain 💭 Fold all the dotted lines downwards like a valley
