Between Walt Disney World and Disneyland, he now has more than 400 unique coins. 🤯 And the coolest part? Neither of his moms collects them. We didn't introduce him to this hobby. He discovered it entirely on his own.

He takes so much pride in his collection. He carefully puts the coins into his collection books, and every so often he'll sit down and go through them, admiring what he’s collected.

He became completely obsessed with those pressed coin machines—the ones where you crank the wheel and a penny is pressed into a commemorative design unique to that location.

For his show and tell, my son chose something that has been a huge part of his life since he was 2: his Disney pressed coin collection. 🪙🏰

Yesterday, my 5-year-old son was the “Big Cheese” at school. Each month, one student gets the honor, with special activities throughout the day—including show and tell, where they share a game, toy, stuffie, or activity that means something special to them.

It is a state of being. Generally, we have increased capacity for empathy and managing emotional range. Early on, we have this sense about having to navigate our expectations of what the world has of us and what we want. It's definitely not anything on the outside. That is just window dressing.

Gave in and turned the heat on this morning. It was 33°F outside and 62°F inside. In the past, we would have just headed off to work and school and left the heat off. But now that my partner and I both work from home, our home offices were getting a little chilly!

I am trying to decide what is more troubling: Trump saying in his speech yesterday that he is OK with the nuclear annihilation of Los Angeles and San Diego and the deaths of 16 million Americans as a result as it would be a small price to pay, , or his supporters hooting and cheering as he said it.
