Oh, there’s a PhD in there somewhere!

2/2 Said exam paper was, purportedly, marked by John Nathan-Turner. Looking back, I’m amazed at (a) my devotion to the task of preserving the script in case something bad happened to Terrance and (b) that I didn’t get my head kicked in or bullied to within an inch of my life.

Unearthed a motherlode of personal nostalgia today. For Christmas 1983 I got an electric typewriter. My first project was transcribing the script of The Five Doctors from my casette recording, followed by a school type #DoctorWho exam. I then made my friends sit this. 1/2

Finally the mist has lifted, but it gave some nice wintry backdrops…

Dog walking in mist, with sparkling lights.

Christmas decorations illuminating the misty night.

Torch beam cuts through mist like a lightsaber.

Surgery seemed to go well, altho quite invasive as this was a recurrence of an unpredictable cancer. It was in a tricky place, hence the decision to put her through surgery again (which was not a decision taken lightly). All being well, she should be home tomorrow. Thanks all X

This wee girl is going in for emergency surgery tomorrow following a recurrence of her salivary gland cancer: any pawsitive vibes would be very welcome. 🐶❤️

Happy #DoctorWhoDay to all who celebrate. Here are four images which sum up the show for me. Delighted at the news about The War Games colourisation for Christmas!

Loved hearing @carolawrence.bsky.social take us through the story of the Minotaur on the Ancients podcast. Especially interesting take on this painting.

This is amazing - but my allergies would be through the roof/sky.

I’ve not had one of these yet! You used to get loads of OHMS envelopes.

Seeing Robert F Kennedy as his tip for Health Secretary really tipped me over! I knew he offered him some role but not the top job 😷

I genuinely cannot believe Trump’s cabinet picks. I mean - excuse the abbreviations - but WTAF?!?

Carl Sagan was one of the key influences in my teenage years. Today would have been his 90th birthday. I was struck by the prescience of these words of his, written in 1995 (hat-tip to Martin Davies on X).

No one likes a blowhard, but I must admit I was very chuffed to receive this. It’s going alongside my DAFTA award and my Tufty Club badge.

So I’m still trying to introduce myself to the class here. One suggestion is that you share your pinned ‘tweet’ from the old site and your most popular postings on there or other media. So here goes!
