one of the best decisions you can make as an artist is to stop talking about your artwork from a position of defending it. the artists statement should be a tool of pride, community, and conversation, not an appeal to those who had no interest in (or ability to) understand it in the first place.

Technically this is a sort of "bad end" timeline to the au me and my friend thought of, buuut 1) the gist is that instead of joining TAPOPs, Kaizo left Fang on Gur'latan to be cared for by the royal family for his own wellbeing. Fang, raised by Kira'na and Kul'dar, became a general under them.
