Passing a cyclist on the bike path beside the 174 with my fat tire ebike. Its a pedal assisted bike, I use it to commute 30kms many days. Me: "Nice day for it!", smiling. Him "Yeah, but you're cheating." I didn't even know I was racing.

Maybe I'm getting old, maybe I'm cynical. In my 50s, working with twentysomethings, training them to navigate a high demand, high stress job. The amount of AI these young adults are using to do basic things like write emails and learn processes is astounding to me.

Listen up: I am one of those rare sex assault victims who actually took the guy who did it to court. It was a local scandal that put my initials on the front page of the local paper (not my whole name because I was a minor). You have no idea what happens to women on the stand or in the press.

Hey #ottbike Innes rd between Jeanne d'arc and Orleans blvd is a mudbath of potholes and people who literally want to kill you. Just wanted to go from Convent Glen to Canadian Tire. This city is trying to kill pedestrians and cyclists.

With rapidly rising energy prices, now would be a great time for Canada to remove the GST on bicycles and cycling safety gear. Maybe no GST on the first $2000 of the cost of a bicycle or $3000 of a EN/UL certified E-Bike? Doing this now would capture the start of the warmer weather commuting time.

Ogilvie road had been a disaster for winter cycling this year. The bike lane is already pretty awful, but it's not cleared in odd places forcing me into squeeze situations, crazy potholes and sewers, and there's no other option to go from Blair to St Laurent. #ottbike

Super bummed... My bicycle pedal worked loose, and stripped all the threads before falling off on my way to work. Can't use a standard crank arm, I have to wait a week or 2 for a new one. I need my morning rides.

I lived this in Ottawa. How does a city transit service survive the reputational damage that is caused by poor decision making made without it's input in the planning stages? How does a city survive the 3P structure and associated loss of control that comes with 3P contracts?
