The Government’s mission to halve VAWG in a decade must address the needs of all women across all communities, including migrant women who face additional complexities and barriers. The VAWG Strategy must deliver for every victim-survivor, regardless of immigration status.

We have joined 55 organisations, including our partners at SafeLives and Respect, in supporting an open letter to the Government raising serious concerns about the absence of meaningful protections for migrant women in the VAWG Strategy.

The letter calls for the Government to ensure that ICBs fund and collaborate with Black and minoritised VAWG services and strengthen scrutiny and oversight into mental health support for Black and minoritised victim-survivors of VAWG.

Specialist, trauma-informed support from by-and-for organisations is essential to ensuring that all victim-survivors can access the support that they urgently need. We have joined 40 signatories of Imkaan's joint letter to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care

We stand in support of Imkaan’s important campaign, ‘Out of Sight, Out of Mind’, which highlights how Black and minoritised victim-survivors are being left out of specialist mental health support; with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) failing to fund specialist by-and-for services.
