Sounds great! Nashville is awesome. I am actually leading a panel on Saturday there called “Teaching History with Comic Books.” I look forward to coming by your table!

@mitchgerads.bsky.social Hi Mitch! I am looking forward to meeting you at GalaxyCon in Nashville at the end of May. Can you tell me how much you charge for a small illustration on a blank cover? I am planning for the con. Thank you!

No matter how depressing the news is on any given day, the most important news is the same as it was almost 2000 years ago: He is risen and the tomb is still empty.

The way you worked the Flash name into the building…that’s epic. Really cool!

I am a history teacher that has loved Davy Crockett since my dad showed me that Fess Parker Disney movie when I was a kid. That is awesome that yo found that book in a dollar bin. A local shop near me had that issue a year or two ago and it was out of my price range.

Bought this today. Found a nice Carmine Infantino signature on the inside. Love finding cool stuff like this.

By far, yesterday was one of the coolest days ever in my classroom. Thanks @deesnider.bsky.social for giving my students some moments they will never forget. I enjoyed it as much as they did. Seeing that you had a freaking cool collection of Marvel statues made me an even bigger fan. 🫡

@rainbowrowell.bsky.social I just finished reading the Spider-Man Holiday Spectacular. Wow! So much heart in that book! Put that on the shelf with the other all-time great holiday issues. Awesome job!

I am sure we have a lot of similarities when it comes to love of history and comics, but missing, loving and having a lot of respect for our mutual fathers is something we definitely have in common. I am sure he would be so proud at how you have changed the world for the better.

This may have been my first horror movie as well. I still own the comic adaptation that Marvel did. It is just so bad, it is great. Will always be one of my favorites.

This looks very cool. I have gotten a lot of students interested in Houdini over the years. This may be more fuel for the fire! 😆

@jimmypalmiotti.bsky.social’s take on Blue Falcon and the dog wonder is incredible. So fun! My kids just want to know where they can get more issues, posters, action figures, etc. 😆 I explained, for now, we would just have to wait for more issues. Great work, as always.

@dynamitecomicshq.bsky.social @jimmypalmiotti.bsky.social I grew up on Blue Falcon & Dynomutt cartoons on the USA Network Cartoon Express. My kids know Dynomutt from the Scooby Doo movie. I just read the first two issues of BF&DM with my son and daughter (10 & 7) and we are hooked and loving it.

This came about because it was Cowboy Day at my high school. I brought my guitar. One of my classes asked me if I would write a song about 6-7. Challenge accepted. And yes…I have owned that Brooks & Dunn shirt since I was 17. Still fits.

Teaching tip: When students are driving you crazy with things like 6-7, don’t get mad at them. Embrace it. The relationships you form and the moments you create will mean more than any standard you could ever teach them.

This might be controversial, but I am going to say it anyway. We need to go back to selling monster cereals year round. It is October 1 and almost everywhere around here has almost sold out. Count Chocula is my favorite cereal of all time and it is not fair we only get it from August to October.

I have been reading this book from the start and it might just be my favorite thing I have read the last few years. I have enjoyed everything that Ghost Machine has put out, but there is something very special about this book.

I loved this film. James Gunn gets Superman. Everything about this movie showcases what I have always loved about DC Comics. This film is how Superman is supposed to be. It is a fun movie from beginning to end and I can’t wait to see it again.

InvestigateTV+ picked up on our story about the Every Kid Is A Hero Foundation and I got word that it ran in around 25 different cities yesterday. The video shows some highlights of the story. I am hoping the comics we make for these kids will inspire them the way comics have always inspired me.

And it is one of the best books out there right now. As the artist, are there any historical characters that you would like to draw in Redcoat? My history teacher appearance wishlist would be David Crockett, Teddy Roosevelt or Billy the Kid.

You never know what you are going to get when you teach AP students. Sometimes you get happy students that make 5’s on the AP test. Sometimes, you get pink flags with your face printed on it. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

👏👏👏 I was buying this book on Wednesday at my local shop and was showing it to a friend there. He missed out on the first issues and I was like, “jump on now and catch up!” This is one of the most entertaining books out there right now. So much potential for a long lasting franchise.
