Yes! Blitz/hit him early and then give him some sim pressures and he’ll start seeing ghosts. We rotate those coverages late and he won’t have any idea at what he’s looking at or where the pressure is coming from ✅

I’d like to think it’s getting used to the new scheme and building cohesion that’s the main issue. Benford had tight coverage on several passes that were completed. End of the game, just super soft coverage in garbage time. Need it to get better though

Something that will probably matter going forward: The Rams nickel/dime defense was no match vs SF's run game, which looks vastly improved from last year. Niners RBs averaged 6.5 yds/carry and a >50% success rate running into those looks tonight.

Hybrid front. It will be based on personnel from the offense but the base defense is going to be 3-4. Offseason is going to be important because we need a nose tackle, safety, a couple of LBs, and a twitchy edge player. Draft might be defense heavy, free agency for WR help

I think the secondary translates fairly well (Hairston, Benford, Bishop). Need another safety. I think Hoecht, Groot, and Dorian Williams translate decently as well. Gotta fill out the edges, IDL, and ideally some more LBs. #BillsMafia

Going to be a stark change on D, that’s for sure. JL’s defense is that hybrid 3-4 attacking style defense. Lot of coverage rotations, blitzing, and more press man coverage. VERY aggressive. Almost the opposite of the defense we are used to seeing from BUF. #BillsMafia
