Despite ideas like TrumpRx, the average family isn't saving. They're actually paying more for private medical insurance. Analysts agree this isn't enough to control the exorbitant cost of healthcare in the US. #healthcare #policy

El Salvador: Democracy Beyond the Ballot Box
Sonja Wolf, Research Professor, School of Government and Economics, Panamerican University, Mexico City Image of Security Measures at CECOT in El Salvador. Constitutional reforms passed in July 2025 moved the presidential contest from 2029 to 2027 to synchronize it with the legislative and municipal elections, eliminated limits on reelection, and scrapped the second-round runoff requirement.

The 2nd Trump administration will bring back family separation & deportations from the interior. Tom Homan is a true believer anti-immigrant extremist talking loudly about separating families that include US citizens or encouraging them all to move abroad. This is not about legality or family values

When they get back in power, Democrats need to go all-in on higher education. We need a campaign of reinvestment in public universities across the country that makes the Morrill Land-Grant Act look like nothing by comparison *and* a GI Bill of Rights-style program of tuition grants.

Donald Trump's UN speech was full of exaggerations, including claims about stopping wars and the US economy. His aggressive remarks towards Cuba and Iran are particularly concerning, given the UN's purpose is cooperation, not threats. Cuba rightly pushed back against his falsehoods. #diplomacy #UNGA
