Me da por mirar una página para consultar dudas sobre tortugas de orejas amarillas (las que son anfibias con garras y membranas) y QUE ES ESTO Osea, puta IA de los cojones xDDDD

An AI slop image of a "yellow-eared turtle" that it´s actually a sea turtle but with CLAWS coming from the first pair of fins and clawed backlegs, and dunno, this isn´t a fucking yellow-eared turtle

I just saved the post for finding later, because I remember this cover art from a old game (Madness in Murderworld) and just look how creepy and cool is Magneto´s visage

A little capture from the cover art from X-Men: Madness in Murderworld game, showing some of the X-Men and enemies, specially Magneto´s face where only his eyes and teeth are showed from inside his helmet

@duckaislop.bsky.social just received an email from Abbey Games (Reus, etc.) and well, they use LLMs for "info and coding"

Our LLM usage

We are OK with AI usage for:

Research scaffolding. AI joins Wikipedia and Ecosia as a way to kick-off our research. The common use case is where we ask a general question to the LLM, and then follow the leads they give. LLM’s are never our only or final source. An example would be finding plants for the Mesozoic expansion of Reus 2. I would start out with some queries, like a list of plants from the Cretaceous period. I make some follow up queries, like finding plants with certain tags, or those that we know some interesting facts to. I also ask for a source if I find a lead promising enough. I then use a combination of wikipedia, expert websites, and the leads given to see if the plant is a good candidate to include in the game. This sounds small, but for fields I know little about (like prehistoric geology), it is a godsend to start with!

Coding. We use a coding CLI to help us write big chunks of code that are based on systems we coded mostly by hand. We can then extend the code using LLMs. Use cases are boilerplate code, parsing code, extensions, writing tests, or anything else that is well defined. The annoying side effect of this, is that sometimes, it will sneak in a text. E.g. when it’s expanding a UI, it sometimes automatically generates tooltip texts. We’re doing our best to keep that stuff out. Right now, we’re forcing it to always type CHEESECAKE when making a creative text, so it's an obvious placeholder. Luckily for us, our localization functions are so… excentric… that they almost always trip over it. 👍

Starting point for boring stuff. “Does this document comply with this agreement?” etc.

An screenshot of my comment blocked on Steam because some "spanish insults" It says this

"Oh, but I feel more relaxed cagandome en todos vuestros putísimos muertos (go to translate it, because I´m not going to do it ;) I already know all of you will keep thinking like a bunch of teens that you are right and keep sharing things like "you shouldn´t have made/advertised/whatever" idiotic and childish opinion you have.

Maybe next time you should try to make a game for yourselves, with no AI help, and after watching how people are ungrateful as damn and getting back the money you earned, keep thinking that you shouldn´t even complain. All of you are the worst plague that the videogame world has known, and with that attitude? Sure that companies won´t risk anything to make games for your enjoyment ;)

Next time, keep the Sephiroth-edgy posting for somebody who cares. And if you want to know why I made this, read again the first sentence <3"

First of all, I love the current state of the game and how nice is the Vault including so much stuff. But I have saw some unused graphics/sprites aren´t included yet (at least in Gog version Vault)

Unused sprites for Blood´s Phantasm enemy, showing an hooded skeleton with a scythe suffering eletrical shocking damage because the Tesla Gun weapon. Not included at game because final version are inmune, and also not appearing at game´s Vault
