I think what some people are missing from this discussion is Raiders is a direct contrast to what Splatoon 3 is and there’s some overlap, yeah, but still two different genres. I love Raiders but I perfectly understand why a lot of comp players don’t really latch onto it and criticize it’s systems

The fact it goes on forever was a little weird to me. Like theres no true ceiling for my gameplay as long as i grind out levels

My favorite part of the series has been the gear system so you can imagine why I really like the game. Ive gotten slightly bored but what keeps me playing rn is seeing how far I can take my favorite builds. Kinda a competitive/limit testing thing.

The only thing about Raiders that im iffy on is you kinda forget about the painting aspect of Splatoon. Side Order had abilities like poison ink and having map control genuinely made levels easier. But Salmon is just different and the time limits/focus on damage always take priority

I feel like im behind on bottomless buffet but it doesn’t rly matter i guess ive spent a lot of time experimenting between all 3 tanks. Speed tank im still kinda lost on and at this point i need to upgrade parts but that takes resources… maybe i just focus on power and tactics and start pushing deep

Frozen has highest potential with weapons that do high dmg in a single shot with the ice breaker ability. Fermentation is all around solid. More damage is good. I hear scorch is ass since it doesn’t scale as nicely at higher levels but it’s still nice to have on stuff if it offers it

I accepted it as going with the flow. Played other games that are in good eras right now. Raiders coming out… the development time away from splatoon 3 was worth it it has been and still is a great time.

Speed tank is the only tank im not sure how i want to build. Flying builds are kinda whatever to me and dont fit my vision. I want something more ground based

I use torquescrew with it to collect eggs but im still not doing enough damage in general in bottomless levels with the build so i need to do more upgrades

Legit just height + slow fall + ink recovery + cooldown upgrades on jump bomb gets you so much airtime you’re basically flying.
