Tonight I do one pocket. I still sort of wish I hid it in a seam but I don't think it will be too noticeable & I still can't wrap my head around how I would work it into the seam. 2nd pic is it brushed out & the top panel pinned on. The pockets are basically where you'd expect them to be.

What I'm curious about is overlocking stitches.. I see some people say you only need a straight stitch. Some say you should do a zig zag stitch in addition. Well, my cheap sewing machine has an overlocking stitch. Could you not just use that....???? I might try it for high tension spots (gussets..?)

Need an alternative to bonded nylon thread so I guess I'll have to do some searching. I've realized the reason why I was having issues with my stitches coming undone is because the thread is slipping. It's too slippery/supposed to be melted for stability. I can't believe people recommend this stuff.

Remember how I duct taped my tail & had a huge issue with that. You'll never believe what I did again & had to subsequently spent an hour+ fixing. This is a masking tape only house from now on. (Yes I tried plastic wrap. I didn't like it & felt like it wasn't accurate)
