This is what peak performance looks like

Saw resident evil, Did not enjoy it as much as I hoped I would. I'm exhausted by a movie that has to be unserious at all times. The first like 40 to 45 minutes of this movie were so good, I had such high hopes. Then there's just no room to have a serious moment. And I'll say it: terrible ending

It's still a mess with a lot that needs re organizing and some things need to be donated, but stream tomorrow I'll have my good old literature filled background once again after many moons 🦇 We have a nicer bookshelf in the living room but it's nice to get this moved. If it ever falls, I die!

A fine book date with a good pair of novels brought home. Reading Demon Copperhead for an independent study with my professor this semester, looking forward to this. He's said Kingsolver is a master and I trust him. Cat's Cradle because Vonnegut is an author I need more of in my life #literature

I'm not exaggerating, this may be my new favorite fantasy novel of all time. I have never in recent memory been SO invested in a cast of characters. Incredible that it managed to both make me laugh, hooked me on the tense parts , and made me ugly cry. Cannot recommend this enough, my god

I'm fashionably late, as always Hokum was amazing. With the recent big horror bangers I felt I owed this one that slipped by me and was not disappointed. Visually a treat, acting on 10's, supernatural with perfect atmosphere, And MOST IMPORTANT: The story, which doesn't need to hand-hold Phenomenal

Modern """news""" headlines are a fuckin joke I'm tired of them trying to frame shit into this "HERES WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:" style STOP INSULTING MY INTELLIGENCE. "TOP 5 THINGS ABOUT THIS FILM YOU -MUST- KNOW BEFORE SEEING" "THE ENDING OF THIS THING:EXPLAINED FOR U" FUCK OFF 'JOURNALISTS'

Pictured: 1: Ghost Dabbing 2: Actual frightening specters Honestly this series, still, deserves MUCH more than it's given. I will not comprehend anyone saying this remake is bad, its been so goddamn good seeing a modern rendition of a hard to access horror. The OG is ROUGH nowadays, this rules.

I...I don't think the fill line makes much sense Given the 2 tons of cheese dust they give you to pour over this I mean it was like under 2 bucks or something I can't expect much but I... That's a LOT of cheese dust...God help me

Alright, after 1million years, finally watched Martyrs (While sick and cough syrup was keeping me alive no less) I think...I dont know. A lot to unpack. Is it a GOOD movie? I don't think so? Is it heavy, and dark, and brutal and memorable? For sure It has a lot of flaws but that ending...

Rip Koji Suzuki, Author of "Ringu" I only just read this book about 2 years ago finally, and it was an incredible read. Obviously the films exist but the novel was not what I expected, it was complicated due to a particular character, but it delivered. I need to read his other works.

Ive given this movie two chances, and I've quit both times. This is nothing. Totally flat characters, baseless story that doesn't matter, scares just ripped from the game to make people soyjack point and go ITS A REFFERENCE TO DA GAME! The constant use of the menu music, This movie is just bad

I'm a big fan of the bookmark I picked up with my copy of Mexican Gothic yesterday. After these next 2 books I'm hoping to find time to properly read Moby Dick at last. I finally feel mentally active enough to do it. My years of nom-reading finally feel less impactful. My brain works again

K so It's a mod. We can just call it a mod. I hate these misleading ass click bait headlines Just say "NEW MOD FOR STARDEW VALLEY" They know it reads "official expansion" and they would rather that than just say "fan mod does [x]" and feel more respectful for the nod community as a whole?

Jesus Christ this was a stinker. I want my time back. I'll keep it brief: -Milquetoast characters -ALMOST has something to say then drops it completely -Cheap (And I mean like DOLLAR GENERAL cheap) banal scares -Most uninspired demon I've seen in many years -Awful ending Fuckin yikes dude

I need to formulate a better approach to this but last night I watched Dead by Dawn, was very excited. The other photo is one of several moments I noticed where the film used clear ai generated images. Incredibly disappointing, especially given the visual nature of the film. Baffling choices ...

I genuinely think This movie is actually incredible for what it is. 90 mins, simple premise, great no FANTASTIC horror moments, soundtrack is on point, There's a level of competency to this that just shocked me. Great tension. Didn't disrespect the deaf character at all. Like God damn it's good???

Watched this tonight Amazing. Shot on 16mm film, have it such a look. The story is gothic and morose and the puppet somehow feels extra horrifying by the end. I want to read the 1800s source material now. A fascinating movie

I have post a lot about it but idgaf I'm enjoying Darktide so goddamn much rn. Might be my favorite 40k game and I'm generally a very jaded old man about warhammer, but this game nails the right stuff for this universe and is such a more interesting look at the universe. Watched mads over the weekend This is one of the greatest horror movies of the last few years period. Incredible depiction of a nightmare scenario mixed with psychedelic drug use, The continuous shot was incredible. Intimate, tense, fucked up. This is a unique and fresh film Highly recommend
