I wrote a post explaining exactly why the Dreamcast will prompt you for the date/time even with a healthy battery, which has puzzled many of us for years! It's not your battery: the Dreamcast's hidden 30-day clock check dreamcast-talk.com/forum/viewto...

Zelda II. Just Zelda II. When I first saw it as a child it just had this crushing atmosphere to it. Darkness, hopelessness, death. 😱 ...nowadays it's my favorite Zelda game to play. 🤎💚🖤

Great review! 😊 I'm currently halfway through this book and am really enjoying it. @johnromero.bsky.social FYI 👀

I'm a huge Game Boy fan but the GBC library never really impressed me. 😕 What games are you interested in playing on it? 🙂 Wait, or did you mean you're gonna get it to program games for it? 😄

> EverDrive Hmmm... I do love my Game Boy and Sega Genesis EverDrives... And the annual Black Friday sale is coming up... 😏 Looks like the $60 model will play both Chrono Trigger and FF3!

> ATB Nooooo like Chrono Trigger??? That was so stressful! 😆 I'd still like to give it a try though. 😊

David Couzelis @drcouzelis.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Hmm... A FF3 cartridge is around $90... That's not completely out of the question. I feel like now that I have a SNES it's my duty to get SOME RPG. 😅

David Couzelis @drcouzelis.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I recently played through Chrono Trigger for the first time and a friend suggested I play FF3/6 next! I had no idea it was so highly regarded until I started reading about it! 🤯 But whatever I do it'll have to wait cause I'm knee deep in Shining Force II. 🤩

There's actually two separate ROMs released for the Game Boy in the US with slight variations, including title screen differences! And there's no way to tell the differences by just looking at the cartridges!

Ugh, I REALLY wanted to love this game because it just looks so darn cool! But there's so much die, retry, and memorization required. 🫤

I bought it back when it came out! I may have spent more time listening to the character select screen than actually playing the game. 👀🤩 www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcNv...

Wait... 🤔 ...🤔🤔🤔... ...HOLY CRAP YOU'RE RIGHT! 🤯 I got a copy of this game recently, as a lover of Zelda II. It's starts off pretty slow but I got really hooked on it!

110

David Couzelis @drcouzelis.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

It's a fun game! 😊 For anyone interested in trying it, it's more of a "walk and gun" shooter. 🤔 If you run you're gonna have a bad time! 😅

120

David Couzelis @drcouzelis.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

And to be clear, I don't even dislike the character. Just the in-game sprite is sort of mrmph. 😐

Monster Max for Game Boy, by Rare Apparently Nintendo offered to publish it with characters from the Mario universe! 🤯 It's a shame because honestly the player character sprite is the ONLY thing I don't really like in this game. 👀 From GAME BOY The Box Art Collection from @bitmapbooks.com

Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) posted his over-the-top video about NES Silver Surfer back in December 2008. It has been viewed over 7.3 Million times! It is also the reason why so many people will tell you that the game is one of the hardest NES games, even those that have never played it themselves!

I realized recently that I've never really played a Final Fantasy game! 🤔 Closest I've done is complete Midgar in Final Fantasy VII for PS1. But I love Final Fantasy Legend III and Final Fantasy Adventure for #gameboy. I've beat those multiple times! 💚

Yeah, this looks more like a simple confused translation. 😊 Like back when translators got text string dumps instead of scripts. 😬 ...and to clarify, I was being silly with my post. 😁 That dialog is NOT typical of what's in the rest of this very fun game.
