Isn’t tampering with the US Post a federal offense? Does that mean either the USPS condones this behavior or the individual(s) responsible should be prosecuted? I can’t see a world where this is used by the GOP to sufficiently undermine confidence in the USPS to shut it down.

There is such a wide spectrum of possibilities as we age. My mother had mobility issues that caused things like area rugs to trip her up. My father is now slowing down climbing stairs in his 80’s. It’s so hard to predict what our needs might be.

I read somewhere that they filmed in (I think) Argentina. Apparently the size of the shoot was such that it caused inflation for the community and they went way over budget. Part of what we got was “let’s just shoot something so we can call it done.” Abysmal end product.

I’ve seen this in action - bought Good Omens back in the 90’s and it was touting “soon to be a major motion picture!” A mere 25 +/- years later it was finally a series…

Heinlein’s work is dated, but I still revisit occasionally. The only book to ever keep me up at night (as in frightening) was The Puppet Masters. That one got me in a way that Stephen King, Dean Koontz, or even modern fare like Chuck Wendig haven’t.

That one even influenced modern tech-speak. People today still use the term “grok” widely - I educated a coworker about the origin of the term just over a week ago.
