I never get tired of looking at Steve Ditko's work on Black Fury. His rendering approach in these strips is so elegant. Black Fury has no texture at all - he's only depicted as streaks of solid black, and resembles an obsidian statue come to life. He looks so powerful!

8 years ago I was working on the MS3TK comic for Dark Horse along with mentoring @liangarts.bsky.social and @mimisimon.com Liang was inking backgrounds. It was an interesting job trying to match the old John Tartaglione art style. Along with reproducing the old color process.

Great Mike Mignola page inked by Craig Russell that I sold during a big financial crisis---when a publisher stiffed me and bounced a 10k check and I was in school weeks before tuition was due. I really wish I didn't have to sell it--such a fantastic page--now owned by some guy in Germany I think.

Sketches from my old high school Illustration class ( before covid) lecture on sketching/ thumb nailing ideas. I gave the students themes/ideas to work with. I have done this before and it helps students who are stuck with starting. Everybody was eventually coming up with great ideas and thumbnails

Happy birthday in heaven to Alex Raymond! Here are a few strips gifted me my Al Williamson. There was never a more fluid draftsman one of the big 3 of the adventure medium, along with Foster/Caniff. You cannot overstate his influence.He influenced anyone who drew realism in comics and strips.
