Ironically they didn’t luck into it, they built up a userbase with their insistence on high quality single player experiences to make PS ‘the place for gamers’ and then lucked into everyone having a PS when live service era solidified. They could have continued raking in the 30% divs but no….

The overall UX is pretty piss poor if memory serves. Essentially a nice-ish shell around nothing more than an android device and you have to follow tutorials to get the games going. Although I could be thinking of something else. Analogue.co are better with UX and onboarding to play iirc
