That’s on top of they changed the intake time without telling us, so we had to rush to the hospital because we “missed” our intake time. This whole thing has been a massive cluster. And they have the audacity to tell my wife to “try and calm down” now for anesthesia as she’s understandably upset.

Nothing instills more confidence in the American healthcare system than actively trying to get service. 1. Talk to doctor, get quote 2. Get denied (which we expected) 3. Hospital demands 10x quote 4. Get that corrected to quote 5. Get to hospital, they want the 10x amount 6. Get someone to fix it

I can't wait for when in 6 months we realize this was a bad idea. The concept of a pull review is the whole reason we have version control, it's not _just_ to store changes. It lets us visualize changes. It doesn't matter if that's CVS, SVN, GitHub, Mercurial, whatever.

My job is just arguing with AI now as it steers me the wrong direction, I correct it, it digs the hole deeper, I yell at it, it apologizes, and I get the satisfaction of closing the terminal. With no work done. So glad we're destroying the environment for this.

I absolutely hate getting tricked into listening to AI music, and then spending 30 minutes figuring out if an artist is AI or real. Came across a song I loved, listened to more of their catalogue on Google Music... and the tinny, clearly generated music started. I hate this timeline.

Every afternoon is turning into macOS freaking out that I'm out of memory as I run out of HD space and swap can't grow. Closing my Chrome tabs frees up 5GB of HD space. Thanks to Apple's unified design I can't upgrade my 256GB HD (and IT won't let me plug in a drive). I hate this timeline.

Why is it so damned impossible to get a video from an iPhone to a PC? Every solution feels like the most jank, convoluted way to move a file. And no, “get a Mac” isn’t an answer. I’d still have to get the file to the PC for editing.

One of my new years resolutions was to get in better shape. I've started and stopped many times over the years, but this year have stuck with it the longest. It's been 75 days of tracking my meals and I'm finishing up the first 9 weeks of working out. I'm down ~20lbs and feeling better in general.
