It had good weapon balance that made every weapon different and fun. It had locations that felt like they belonged, and rewards for exploring were not things you'd never use ever. I also found the story to be millions of times more interesting and took advantage of the open world nature of the game.

Oh damn, I'm glad you were able to get out of that. I don't think every game that borrowed from Skyrim turned out bad. I just kinda hate this notion that it was that first groundbreaking open world game. Fallout: New Vegas was one year prior and did most all aspects better.

Combat that's about as generic as OSRS. Lore about as interesting as a PragerU video. Worldbuilding as good as a superflat Minecraft world. Classes about as varied as an AC/DC album. There's nothing the game does good. Also if your game needs mods to be something; your game sucks, sorry.

Skyrim. All the hype it had and how groundbreaking it supposedly is; yet it's the most soulless, white person thanksgiving dinner of a video game I've ever played. There's literally nothing the game has to offer of any substance. Everything is so bland and bare minimum.
