for context, 2024 WHO advice to prevent pneumonic plague infection for HCWs.
The WHO's 2024 IPC advice to healthcareworkers recommend contact/droplet precautions. Medical masks aren't considered PPE by OHS specialists so these are not adequate.

Confirmed, the science cosplayers running the show at the WHO have decided that "droplet precautions" are appropriate for pneumonic plague. This is the 2024 WHO guidance. This is why we need to see serious jail time for their COVID negligence, NOW. iris.who.int/server/api/c... #medsky
6.2. Infection prevention and control
Infection prevention and control measures are aimed at preventing the transmission
of plague bacteria to health care workers and spread among other patients. They include
using:
• standard precautions in addition to droplet precautions. Standard precautions should
be used to manage all patients with suspected plague. Droplet precautions should be
adhered to for all patients with suspected pneumonic plague in addition to isolation;
• isolation arrangements for patients with suspected or confirmed pneumonic plague
(Annex 8);
• safe handling and burial practices for bodies (Section 8.3.1.1);
• carefully cleaning and disinfecting instruments. Instructions on preparing solutions
for disinfection are given in Annex 9;
• source control for patients with primary or secondary pneumonic plague, including
applying a medical mask to the patient when possible and tolerated.

Note that pneumonic plague is airborne to begin with - and public health leaders just spent several years manufacturing disinformation claiming the required (and effective) mitigations "don't work", to cover up the deaths from their opposition to them in COVID policy.

The role of medical negligence in the Cargill tragedy highlights how medical self-regulation is routinely abused to protect senior MDs from accountability. Try it. *Even now* you'll get nothing but excuses. But keep the receipts, and post them. If they won't fix it, it needs to be taken away.

I was surprised to hear Abbotsford School District emphasizes abstinence as the only "truly safe" way to not get pregnant or get STIs. Mainly, because that's not true. Telling kids to not have sex means they still have sex, just in less safe ways. Today for @thetyee.ca thetyee.ca/News/2026/09...

There are reasonable grounds to suspect that Ebola could be at least partially airborne, albeit comparatively inefficiently. For the moment. Whether or not this is the case, public health and infection control appear to be gambling with Ebola the same way they gambled (and lost) with COVID.

People who understand the science and the risk aren’t doomers or traumatized. They’re informed. The virus weakens your immune system making you more susceptible to other diseases like sepsis, Strep A, and potentially even cancer. Lots of studies showing this.

You’re completely missing the point. Basing outcomes on probability vs. guarantee is not how science works. It’s a dangerous and false ideology. This is an error where you only look at the few people who "survived" a risk while completely ignoring the many others who died or got sick from it.

WHO says we’re still in a pandemic. Endemic means a disease regularly occurring within an area or community. Malaria is endemic. It circulates in certain areas of the world but not all. Pan, meaning worldwide. Covid is in every world country = pandemic. Endemic doesn’t mean “end” or harmless.
