Ah this last shot of the scene I'm still wrestling with since I wasn't 100% on the acting in this part and the available time for this shot is so short, which is really the bane of my existence... I want to stuff so much cute interaction into this part orz twitch.tv/dracorium

I honestly loved drawing this wall, it has so many little details and story bits that me and @jibwamble.bsky.social talked about for Chrys, Freya and Warren. They're honestly so cute twitch.tv/dracorium

Dracorium @dracorium.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Ah yes we're back at the beginning! But I originally found this shot paced weirdly so I fiddled with it. I think I got it feeling the right way with the movement, so we'll start cleaning this up then =) twitch.tv/dracorium

Dracorium @dracorium.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Might be sooner than you think. I think I have to revisit some earlier section of the animatic now ;w;

I mean how can you not be inspired by this game?

Gorgeous screenshot of the Bound protagonist descending down aerial silks through an abstract, geometric realm that's falling apart.

Might sketch out the idea I had today =)

000

Dracorium @dracorium.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Seeing your beautiful art of Ren, I actually had an urge to draw a story illustration of Illyse because she doesn't have many solo drawings. We definitely gave Illyse dependency on Ren and this "package" mentality carried over into how we presented her to others in the game as well.

Dracorium @dracorium.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

I understand studios got budgets to keep in mind, but man it was probably sad to see your story and passion for a topic done such a disservice.

Then it became "what if she had to give up her early but promising ballet career because she saved her mom and herself from certain death in a car accident where her powers awakened but lost her legs?" Thus Ren was born.

110

Dracorium @dracorium.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

I love Ren so much. She was inspired by the old indie game Bound as the aesthetic of that game is gorgeous. We thought "wouldn't it be cool if a ballet dancer had metal bending abilities to control metallic ribbons?"

Guys I think I have a problem... I might be addicted to animating because this part of the animatic didn't need this movement, but it was fun to do ;w; You can watch me try to stop animating live twitch.tv/dracorium

I want to live in a world where artists and devs don't have to rely on these places to earn an income or for their work to be seen by an audience. Support indie and the jank that may come with it. There's a lot of people making cool things that would otherwise be suffocated by the c-suite.

000

Dracorium @dracorium.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Many times the creatives' vision is watered down if they aren't just fired. And not to mention the unhealthy working conditions, especially at large game studios like Rockstar. I commend the people working at these studios because making a paycheck is important and it's a dream to "make it big".

100

Dracorium @dracorium.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

I used to love big studios like Disney. It took awhile to escape their hold on me. But it was hard to watch every time these studios exploit their artists/devs and continue to shaft creatives that had to jump through hoops to make what they wanted with mild amounts of success.

Back from vacation and we're getting close guys! Worked more on this shot from the last stream and I ended up cutting the last pose (and the anim leading to it). Figured it's best to leave Chrys as sad as they are... Will be finishing the sequence and then it's all clean up! twitch.tv/dracorium

Haven't played through deltarune yet, but can definitely identify with this experience. When you live under consistent physical and emotional abuse, you search for any space to be at peace. You're so terrified to go home that the dangers of sleeping in a forest mean nothing.
