Ephemeris releases in four days. This is the final eBook cover. I'm anxious. I hope people read it, and I hope people enjoy it. But once it's out there, it belongs to the world, not to me any longer. I can't protect it or improve it. It must fly or fall on its own.

I have a strange question. I've been doing art all my life ... and I suck at it. Grinding away at studies and such does have a slight, temporary improvement, but nothing lasts. I'm better at 3D art, and my rendering is ok. How do I reset my art and start over? Can I?

two comments on Reddit; the first one, by "Themodsarecuntz" clarifies that "the Supreme Court has ruled that "protect and serve" is simply a slogan and does not have any legal binding for the officer."

In my effort to recruit for the Defenders, I have stopped at yet another runner coffee bar in Detroit named Dessert Oasis. This one has a seedier clientèle. Mostly deckers, perhaps a face or two. But the coffee is better here—makes the other place seem more like a Soykaf bar. Pleased dragon.

The interior decor is very hipster discopunk, if I recall my historical categories correctly—I hadn't yet awakened at that time, and was still locked in my juvenile->adult slumber.

At any rate, a disco ball is top left, and ducting runs along the high ceiling. There's a coffee bar in the center of the room, surrounded by pillars. The overall ambiance is dark industrial chic.

Detroit day two: No insect spirits so far. No dragons appear to have territorial claims here, so I am not transgressing. I am comfortable. Metahumanity here has a different flavor than Seattle. I even found a runner coffee bar called "Mad Cap." I shall fly out tonight, once I'm rested and fed.

At risk of being a pest, this is the latest revision of the proof cover for "Ephemeris." Obviously it's going to undergo revision before publication, and ideally I'll find a real artist to actually work with on cover art, but the proofs are ordered. ^_^ Very exciting! At least for me. ^_^
