The rest of the industry will see this and there will be physical media, as long as people are buying it. Not every game, maybe only limited editions but it will be there. Because of the money they can earn with it. And when it really comes to subscriptions only, I have more money for old arcades;)

In the end, it was a lie and I didn’t believe in this lie back then, not in the last years and not today. The collectors will stick to the last publisher with physical media and the publisher will see this and not throw away this money.

Speaking of MS: How did they perform with focussing on game pass? The industry should mention this. And to be true, physical media should have ended over the year ago. Look through old articles. It was 100% and nothing we could change.

I would have paid for a game on physical media. I don’t buy „Collector Editions“ without physical media. I did once and I soon didn’t want it anymore. And I won’t buy more games then I can play, as I do now, so I have them physically, as long as they are available. I buy a lot physical games.

I will make exceptions, likes I did before. But they're not the rule. The truth is, MS never earned so less money from me, since their discs are factual dongles. I don’t have much DLs. As I said, subscription for one or two month, playing a game and cancel after. Even if it’s 20€ per month it‘s less

Many customers care for DRM free options and preservation. The GOG patron community is great. Yeah we talk about old games they preserve DRM free, but every new game becomes old one day. The question is, do we have enough patience to wait until then. And the answer is: I have enough to play.

I care for DRM free option and so I support this. Maybe we are not enough, but it‘s not, I have something to lose. I buy a game DRM free and I own it. And if it is one day not available anymore, I still own and can install it again, as long as I have a backup of the installer, I own.

That‘s absolutely understandable. I did the same with Halo Infinite. One month Gamepass, played it with my wife and that‘s it. They would have earned more from me, when a physical media with the whole game on it or a download version without DRM would be available, but if they don’t want more money…

When physical media really ends, I would prefer to buy games digital where I own them. This said, I will probably change to PC and buy games without DRM on GOG as long as I can. And aside this, when I really want to play actual game, I will buy a subscription for a month, play the game and that’s it

It is recognised as an implied URL. Nintendo doesn’t want URLs, mail addresses, social media accounts, hashtags and so on. It sometimes seems to be randomly because the algorithm recognise some names and not others following the same pattern.

The algorithm recognise the combination of name and „eu“ as an implied URL. Nintendo don’t like implied URL, mail addresses, social media accounts, hashtags and so on. And yes, it happens with some combinations and not with others, which seem to follow the same pattern.

Mangels Konkurrenz. Die Switch (2) zielt halt als Hybrid auf einen etwas anderen Markt und MS interessiert sich vielleicht für die Marke XBox, aber sicher nicht für die Konsole. Die „Exclusives“ erscheinen mit zeitlichen Abstand für die PS5 und dort dann wesentlich vollständiger auf Disc.

Been there, done that. Mind. 3 defekte Konsolen deswegen in den letzten 25 Jahren. Den Fehler mach ich nicht mehr. Zumal ich mittlerweile Equipment zur Temperaturverfolgung habe und weiß, dass es auch zu verkürzter Lebenszeit kommt, auch wenn sich ein defekt nicht direkt einstellt. Lesson learned.

Was denn zu noch mehr Wärme durch den Receiver führt. 😅 Aber Platz ist immer das Problem und man muss Kompromisse eingehen. Danke nochmal für die Halteridee. Hatte ich nicht auf dem Schirm, weil ich vergessen hatte, dass die Switch 2 die Luft von unten anzieht und nicht von hinten, wie die Switch 1.

Ja, ich überlege gerade meinen Spotify-Account zu kündigen. Zum Glück kaufe ich Musik, die mir gefällt, zusätzlich und höre sie offline. wWeil ich mich nicht abhängig machen will. Ich verliere dann eine einfache Quelle für neue Musik und Künstler erfahren nur durch offline hören keine Unterstützung.

Spotify kennzeichnet die nicht mal irgendwie, die Macher erwähnen natürlich auch nichts. Bitte ändert das. Ich will so eine Vergewaltigung von kreativen Werken anderer nicht unterstützen. Zeigt mir, wer die Künstler sind, von denen Stil und Stimme geklaut wurden, damit ich die unterstützen kann.

Uh, bad example. In mean, you guys are right, it is complete on disk and no patch make it better. But the truth is it is just the PS2 versions with an emulator with horrible input lag. The Wii version is the better choice, sadly only the Japanese version allows GC controller. I stick to my MVS. 😅

Kenne das Problem. Design und Story sprechen mich an, aber entweder, die ersten Stunden haben eine gute Lernkurve und dann spiele ich aus Gründen ein paar Tage nicht und bin völlig raus oder nach 1 1/2 Stunden Tutorial und kein Ende mache ich „erstmal“ Schluss und will es dann später nochmal angehen

Die beiden kamen heute dazu. Der Pro Controller fühlt sich etwas klein an, ist aber ansonsten ein echter Traum in der Haptik und Nutzung. Und #MarioKartWorld hat mir mal wieder vorgeführt, wie wichtig ein starker Exclusive-Titel zum Launch ist. Hab gerade richtig viel Spaß. #NintendoSwitch2 #Switch2

Auf Mario Kart und auf einige Upgrades S1 Spielen freue ich mich. Die lassen sich aber alle noch nicht runterladen, wohl erst morgen. Meine kam per DHL. Amazon bemüht sich zur Kundenzufriedenheit, dass die Sachen pünktlich zum Release da sind und schicken per DHL lieber einen Tag früher. 😁
