I just learned that the Dutch use trash bins for voting ballots because when they introduced electronic voting, they got rid of boxes. Then, when they realized that electronic voting could be manipulated and it got banned, they had to come up with a solution quickly. It stuck.

Been using a new iPhone 17 Pro for a month, and it's absolutely amazing. Especially the camera, the jump from my old iPhone 13 is insane. Finally got the true portable camera comparable in quality to my Lumix (LOG+ProRes ❤️). 120Hz, battery, performance, design are awesome too.

Can't figure out what I think of the new YouTube controls. First, I thought my zoom settings were at 150%. They feel like a jump back to the UI/UX from 10 years ago. On the other side, they are always visible (Hey Apple!) and quite convenient to click on. Maybe it all that matters.

After using Atlas for a few days, I am switching back to Chrome. It's a really cool idea and it might be the future, but it's not there yet. Also, it's a clunky product, so using it as simply a browser is a bit of a pain. I'll be keeping my eye on it.

When developing something automated with LLM APIs, the scariest part for me is making some mistake and running the API too many times, leading to huge costs. Gemini dashboard isn't making it easy to track this either. There is no real-time usage or billing.
