They either weren't real people, or they didn't know that slimy brokers and insurance companies had signed them up for government paid insurance. It's a scam that's run for a while. Biden tried to stop it. Trump reinstated the brokers. Oz seems to have a residual layer of honesty.

The basic con is so simple that it usually gets ignored. The big fish have their coins under multiple accounts. By trading with each other or themselves they manipulate the price to whatever they want. In any real market, they'd all have been jailed years ago.
