About 10 years ago I tried a shareholder dispute and had a second-year associate as my second chair. Two years out of law school, she was so much better prepared and conducted a vastly superior cross-examination of the opposing party than what Eric Schmitt did today. What an epic failure.

As a trial lawyer, I have to thank Senator Eric Schmitt for providing the best training video I could possibly want to show to young lawyers about how NOT to conduct a cross-examination. This one is going to make its way into a lot of law firms' training videos, along with My Cousin Vinny.

That was the most embarrassingly incompetent cross-examination by a lawyer that I have seen in my 32 years of practicing law. I wish I could try all my cases with Sen. Schmitt as opposing counsel. Had he done this in front of a jury, I can guarantee you the jury would have openly laughed.

Securing the safety of those who are being illegally deported of course comes first but there MUST be motions to hold those who are carrying out these orders in criminal contempt of court. Jailing the minions of the illegal Trump/Miller “remigration” scheme is the only way to stop it.
