Picked this one up thrifting. Was it good? Well, no. It was super fun to watch! Absurd over acting, very fun fashion, what more could you ask for? There is a very low production value interview with Leslie Simms (purple hat) that is incredibly funny and refreshingly candid

I picked up a bunch of murder mysteries from a used book store in Menlo Park and I got a kick out of this one. Finished it in a day. I may go back and pick up the rest of the books they had by this author. Apparently it's a series and this is the second one

Is this the year I make the peacock aspic inspired by Suspiria (1977) from the A24 horror cookbook? No

It is not immediately obvious, but the peacock statue is actually an aspic with halved hard boiled eggs embedded within. The tail is made of long thin dowels with scorpion candies at the tips. The candies are teardrop shape and slightly translucent so you can see the scorpions inside.

Splurge on a custom framing job. I got this 1968 map of San Francisco from a flea market and took it to get framed. I chose the matting to match the color of the map and love how it turned out

I looked up the rules of boggle out of curiosity and the examples from Wikipedia are, appropriately, boggling

When I still used Spotify I once found this album of remixes of Where Have All The Cowboys Gone by Paula Cole but the track names had no indication of this

I never played Cannon Spike but I loved the art. There was a big spread in Gamefan that made the game look so cool. The actual gameplay seems fine. Capcom should bring this to modern consoles

I won flat taffy, a Trader Joe's product, at trivia last night. Aside from the fact that it is trying to solve for a non-existent problem of dimensionality, the stuff sticks to the paper, ripping it apart, making it very difficult to consume. Joyless and frustrating

It's finally cool enough to eat and I'm so happy with this 🥲 This is a peach galette, the filling has cognac and mace with apricot jam. I ~made~ the ice cream. It's infused with a mariage frères tea, Marais In Love, which has warm spice notes. It is so so so so good. Such a good pairing
