dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 20hYeah, they are. We've had tickets for 29 yrs. Pop was a die hard niner, my mom was all about the Falcons. I'm still a falcons fan, that isn't easy. The Seahawks do need to clean it up. 010
dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 20hBest part is having it slightly heated after going to the game to sit and eat it and watch football on TV. 030
dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 21hWe took it to downtown Redmond, the end of the East run. Pretty cool! They've done so much in downtown Redmond. I didn't recognize anything. There's a great H Mart. Sushi Moto, one of my favorites opened at the station. Yum! 110

No parking fee, no hunting for parking. We'll be early. Well enter the stadium opposite from usual. We haven't seen the other side in many years. dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I haven't but I rarely shop there. I like PCC but due to their high overhead costs, they're too expensive. Skagit co-op sells dry starter. Cottage Bakery (YUM!) in Lynnwood sells their own starter, fresh. Some bakeries sell it. 100
dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Food 52 no knead sourdough. Starter is easy to get at co-ops, health food stores, and online. You can use Google and make your own. Fred, especially sourdoughs, are easy, the internet makes them look daunting. Food 52 has easily found recipes for sourdough and conventional bread. 111

dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Okay, I'm over waiting, I'm slowing down the fermentation in this batch of sauerkraut with Fresno chilies. The spice is tame, just a bit of a kick. This is delicious. #Guthealt 3101

dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I used a mandoline for both the cabbage and the fennel, I should have changed the blade setting for the fennel though. I bottle a dozen bottles of hot sauce with ginger and tangerine yesterday after a month plus ferment. I have 3 types of kraut going now, I love to share it with friends. 021

dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 09/10/2026It is fantastic!! I did add a couple of dried chilies to the batch. I should have cut the fennel thinner, it's still a bit chewy, but still delicious. 4 weeks was the magic ferment time, it's got a wonderful sourness. 111

dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 08/10/2026That is the close out price, they were to expire the next day. The real cost was $12.99#.... Ouch. dougcdogdad.bsky.social @dougcdogdad.bsky.social · 07/10/2026By far the best fermented cabbage I've made. It's sour, it's crisp, the fennel notes are a hit. The chilies gave it a zip without it being hot. I'll try to duplicate it next week. It fermented 4 full weeks. 1 medium cabbage, 2 large fennel bulbs, 5 hot dry chilies, 2.5% kosher salt. 121
