In that case it feels like you should just ship JS since json doesn’t have named exports. Since your consumer is js anyway that seems fine to me and gives you a lot more flexibility.

For my team we’re considering building the calculations into terrazzo plugins and having it generate both clamp values and figma modes values for all viewports that designers want. We haven’t implemented it yet but likely will start testing it out soon

I don’t see why not. Put your credit card on this provider or that provider is not much different. Or you could run both for a while. Of course yes you’d be asking users to change something and might lose a few but it might be worth your while if you get more revenue and features.
