At the moment, the Brexiters are in the minority. Lab, LibDems, Greens, SNP, Plaid and a couple of others have over 490 seats. That's 75% of parliament. A majority needs 326 votes. So over 150 MPs from the Progressive/Liberal parties could say no to the Single Market and we'd still have a majority!

The best way to settle the Rejoin issue is for Burnham to offer a free cross-bench vote, without party whips, on whether we should apply to rejoin the Single Market through the EEA and an extension of our current deal. Remove all the partisanship and manifesto pledges. Let MPs decide by themselves.

The big test will not be whether or not Burnham says he supports PR, the test will be whether or not he's willing to introduce it BEFORE the next election. (So far he's said it will only be "in the next manifesto".) #ProportionalRepresentation 🗳

Fascism isn't a joke. When fascists get into government it gets ugly and deadly. Fascists at the top want money and power. Fascists at the bottom want to hurt, beat, maim and kill everyone they don't like, don't agree with, or hold a grudge against. Fascism is anything but politics as usual.
