Great seeing responsively sized iframes landing in Chrome - developer.chrome.com/blog/respons... In my post "The browser is the sandbox", I said: "We need a way to size the outer-iframe (or iframes in general) that doesn’t rely on access to iframe.[...].innerHeight and sandbox='allow-same-origin'"

Chrome 154 adds support for responsively-sized iframes, letting an iframe size itself based on the intrinsic size of its embedded document.

@pfrazee.com I'm only just getting into The Discourse, so sorry if this is naive, but I'm not familiar with "open society" as used here. How, if at all, would an open society approach access restrictions? ATM I'm thinking everything from driver's licenses & job certifications to nuclear arms control

The Chrome DevTools team are doing a "papercuts" sprint where they try to address lots of small, irritating bugs and annoyances. Reply with crbug.com links (no bug, no fix—that's the deal!) and will see what we can do. No promises though as some may be features/too big/unclear how to solve.

doing my part, etc
It has come to my attention, per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiki_Workers_United_solidarity, that the Wikimedia Foundation recently laid off multiple union organizers during a union-establishing effort at the Foundation, as well as Brooke Vibber, another union organizer and long time developer.

This is incredibly troubling to me, and I am writing to let you know that unless the course here is corrected/reversed and Wikimedia takes significant steps towards fixing this, I will be withdrawing my ongoing donations to Wikimedia.

There's been a quiet discourse among creators about this for quite some time, but it's no longer that quiet. I hate what AI is doing to the internet. Yes, it has its upsides. But the downsides outweigh those IMO. I have my own thoughts and feelings about the state of things that are still brewing.😞
