This is, without a doubt and without contest, the best thing Togako has written this month. If you are not following them, you ought; they are finding a -groove.-

Incidentally, while rewatching these episodes to get a feeling for this scene, the thought occurred to me that if Taki had had a day or two to let Anon and Tomori sit with the news of Soyo trying to get CRYCHIC together behind everyone's back, the practice with Umiri might have gone much better.

It's been a while. With some encouragement, I decided to participate in Promptober this month. I have posted the first batch of prompts on AO3: archiveofourown.org/works/94193231

A translator is the custodian of the irreplicable human intent and subjectivity imbued in a work by its creator. To mangle that intent, by entrusting it to a machine or to someone who simply does not care about it, is to blunt or even completely eliminate the very thing that makes art worthwhile.

My sincere hope is that children who watch yumemita will go on to watch the work from which it was adapted: Zeta Gundam.

I do still feel anxious about my age. I can count the years I fear I've wasted on both hands. I don't think I'm ever really going to be free of that. There's still so much I have to do. I'm going to leave myself in a thousand different places. I'm going to touch a thousand thousand hearts.

The other night, I was talking to my father, and I expressed some anxiety about being 'too old' to begin a study of jazz and have any hope of playing expressively. (I'm in my late thirties, for reference.) In response, he reminded me of the story of Pat Martino.

My legs are sore because I spent several hours moving boxes and chairs and then, for some reason, decided that I should ride my exercise bike at home. I did this so I could drink a chelada and eat an ice cream sandwich. Please follow my example to the letter.

Viola is just SO comically evil. I hope she is never redeemed, and I pray for her victory. Let misery reign. An end to the era of girl bands. Amen

It's my birthday today. As a gift to me, please tell one of your friends that you love them sincerely and without pretense. Also, please listen to 1964's "Getz / Gilberto" and do your best to listen to the harmonies and the beauty of the language without thinking of the words "elevator music."

Can you believe Erea-chan is so cruel she said all those awful things to Viola in La La La La Girls? And if that wasn’t enough she stole Viola’s emotional support girlfriend that she uses to cope with her own insecurities! Arale is so mean! We should all love and support Viola!
